Indian Hill is a small village located in eastern Cincinnati and is known as home to the city’s elite. Many of the homes here are sprawling estates and mansions dating back to the early 1800s. They're often hidden from view on spacious, heavily-wooded home sites bordering the green space and, if you look closely, you'll catch a glimpse of the bridle trails which meander roughly 200 miles through the village. The Exempted Village School District traces its history back to the remaining one-room schoolhouses located in the Village, and even further back to the first settlers' log cabin schools which these brick structures replaced. Today, professional educators operate the modern, award-winning schools that make up the Indian Hill educational system.
More than 2,000 acres of wooded areas are village-owned and preserved, and provide plenty of recreational opportunities including horse trails and Indian Hill Park. The Village of Indian Hill has several parks and recreational areas available for residents to enjoy. There are tennis courts, baseball and softball diamonds, soccer and lacrosse fields and a basketball court for athletic participation. Walking paths, nature trails, bridle trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, and restroom facilities are maintained for outdoor fun and relaxation.
